Sign in to commentThis is great! I'd love to hear about TMS for conditions beyond depression — specifically PTSD and chronic pain. Also, is there an age limit for TMS? My 72-year-old father is interested but worried he's "too old."
Signed up! Can you address the difference between TMS providers? I've gotten quotes ranging from $6,000 to $15,000 and I don't understand why there's such a huge range. What should I be looking for in a good clinic?
Both great questions — we'll definitely address those. Marcus, to answer quickly: there's no upper age limit for TMS. We regularly treat patients in their 70s and 80s. In fact, older adults who haven't responded to medications are often excellent TMS candidates. We'll go into more detail during the webinar.
Will the slides be posted? The bit about cortical excitability and motor threshold went over my head and I want to revisit.
The honesty about who's NOT a good candidate was refreshing. I wish more clinics led with that.
Question for next time: how do you decide between iTBS, 10Hz, and SAINT-style accelerated for a new patient?
The recording was really informative — especially the part about the difference between iTBS and standard 10Hz protocols.
Will there be another one in May? My sister couldn't make it and would've loved this.
The part about right-sided treatment for anxiety was new to me. My current provider only mentioned left-sided.
The Q&A on insurance prior auth was the most useful 15 minutes I've spent on TMS info. Thank you for hosting.
Recording link please? Couldn't make the live call.
Loved that you didn't oversell. 'TMS isn't magic, it's a tool' is the right framing.
Please do another one focused on maintenance and what to do if symptoms creep back at month 9-12.
