Replied to TMS for anxiety (not just depression) — my experience
Panic attacks went from 3-4/week to maybe 1/month. Still have them but they're shorter and I can ride them out.
Replied to From barely surviving to actually living — TMS changed everything
Reading every reply on this thread before each of my sessions. Down to session 11. Thank you all.
Replied to How I got my insurance to cover TMS after initial denial
Medicare Advantage plans vary widely. Original Medicare actually covers TMS reliably with a referral. If you have a choice at open enrollment, factor that in.

Did you continue therapy alongside? Curious how you split the work.
Replied to Can I do TMS if I have a metal dental implant?
The rule of thumb my doc gave me: anything within ~30cm of the coil and ferromagnetic = problem. Dental implants are usually titanium = not a problem.

Curious about your work schedule during treatment — did you take time off or work through it?
Replied to Struggling with the waiting period before TMS starts
If you're suicidal — call 988 and consider a higher level of care while you wait. There's no shame in stepping up. TMS will still be there.

Question for next time: how do you decide between iTBS, 10Hz, and SAINT-style accelerated for a new patient?

Did your provider use a specific anxiety protocol or the standard depression one with adjustments?
Replied to New Stanford SAINT protocol showing 90% remission rates — what it means for patients
Did accelerated (3 sessions/day, 10 days) at a clinic that uses neuronavigation. Out of pocket but I got 7 weeks of treatment compressed into 2 weeks. Game changer for someone with limited PTO.

Same — I have GAD and went in for depression but my anxiety dropped almost as much. Right DLPFC adjustments seemed to be the key.

Shared this with my brother who's been resistant to trying TMS. Sometimes hearing it from another patient is more convincing than hearing it from doctors. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing.

This is fascinating. 5 days instead of 6 weeks would be life-changing for people who can't take extended time off work. Any idea when this might become more widely available? I'm in the midwest and I doubt anyone near me offers it yet.
