BrainsWay announced that favorable U.S. medical-policy coverage for its SWIFT accelerated Deep TMS protocol has surpassed 57 million covered lives. A newly issued policy in South Carolina added coverage for approximately 2 million members and pushed the total past the milestone.

With the update, eight major payers plus the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs now either cover accelerated TMS or include supportive policy language for accelerated treatment approaches. The coverage applies to Deep TMS for major depressive disorder and OCD, with additional indications under study.

CEO Hadar Levy said the milestone "underscores the accelerating adoption of SWIFT" and broader momentum toward improving patient access to Deep TMS. Accelerated protocols compress treatment from six-plus weeks of daily sessions into multiple sessions per day over roughly a week.

Coverage has historically been the main barrier to offering accelerated protocols, since out-of-pocket costs frequently ran well above standard courses. Each new payer policy directly expands what clinics can offer insured patients.
