The Clinical TMS Society (CTMSS) held its 2026 Annual Meeting in Boston from June 4 to 6, drawing an international field of TMS providers and researchers. The program included the PULSES and Pain Academy pre-conference training courses, followed by two days of keynotes, poster sessions, and device demonstrations.

The meeting was the launchpad for several major device-maker announcements. Neuronetics presented real-world TrakStar data on TMS effectiveness by age and sex, adolescent outcomes, and a plenary on maintenance therapy. BrainsWay presented its first 12-month durability data for the SWIFT accelerated Deep TMS protocol. MagVenture exhibited fresh off its late-May FDA clearance for accelerated TMS protocols.

The dominant themes — accelerated protocols, maintenance therapy, neuronavigation, and adolescent treatment — map closely to where the field is heading commercially in the second half of 2026.

For clinic operators, the meeting offered a preview of the protocols and technologies most likely to shape patient demand and payer conversations over the coming year.
